Before you pay anyone
- View the property, or have someone you trust view it
- Verify the person's identity and their authority to let the property
- Confirm the building permits the lease term you have been offered
- Get a written lease first
Refuse
Wire transfers, gift cards, cryptocurrency, personal payment-app transfers, and any pressure to pay before viewing.
Report
Use the report control on the listing. If you have lost money, contact your local law enforcement and your bank immediately.
